Made Contact with Leaders

After some effort we finally made contact with the Area CES Director and his assistant with whom we will be working with in New York.  The Area CES director is Jeremiah Clark located in Washington DC and the Area Supervisor is Matthew Baker who is located in Syracuse.  I spoke with Brother Clark and he recommended that I coordinate with Brother Baker as he will be our direct contact for our S&I mission service.  I got hold of him and we spent a little time talking about what we would be doing but he asked that we contact Elder & Sister Helsher whom we will be replacing.  We have made contact with the Helsher's on the Internet and have schedules  to Skype with them this coming Wednesday evening and hopefully will have a much clearer picture as to our assignments as well as our accommodations, cost and what ever else we need to know.  Time is moving forward so we hope we can get things in place.  We have made our hotel arrangements for our 4 day trip back to New York.  We will stop first in Aurora Colorado then to Lawrence Kansas, then on to Indianapolis Indiana, then to Buffallo finally ending up in Albany New York.  We are taking 4 days to get there (500 miles per day) as the Church provides funds to cover our gas, hotel cost and food allowance per day.  Brother Baker said to take our time and make sure we see some of the church sights on our way. We are planning to stop in Kirtland to see the temple for sure!
