Grand son arrived.

August 20th 2014 we finally got our grandson Alexander William Uzelac here and everything went better than expected.  Alexander William Uzelac came in at 6 lb 9 oz - 18 inches long. He has black hair and looks like Sommer.  As for the complications we were all worried about, it seems that our prayers have been answered.  He was not born with Down Syndrome  and his heart did not require immediate surgery at this time.  He had to stay in the hospital for a couple of days until the flap dissolved in his heart.  As for the hole they did not seem to feel it was an urgent issue and will check it in 6 months and then decide.  He failed the hearing test but the audiologist said that is normal that it could just be fluid in the ears.  They will check that weekly as we go forward.

Mother and baby are home and doing great in comparison to her last delivery.

No sooner than we felt good about everything, Jenee developed a bulging disk in her back which has put her down for several weeks. She had to have a MRI to detect the problem and was given a shot of cortisone and steroids directly into the back.  She has been on bed rest until such time as the disk shrinks and the pain in relieved.  So far medication and rest are helping as she is able to get around much better, but still is limited on her daily activities to rest and very limited movement. We are doing everything we can to negate surgery and pray daily that the Lord will bless her so there will be no medical issues to interfere with our plans to submit our application for our mission in 2015.

Some of our family and friends has received their mission calls which both makes us sad that we have had to delay ours but happy for them.  Steve and Afton Baxter have been called to serve a PEF mission in London England.  Paul and Bonnie Evensen have ben called to India to serve a Public Affairs mission.  Alan and Janette Paine have been called to Ottawa Canada on a CES Mission. Kenton and  Diane Knoor have been called San Diego to serve an Office and Medical mission.

Hopefully buy the end of September we will have our papers in once again and get a call shortly thereafter to who knows where.
