After many hours and days or praying and pondering Jenee and I decided that we needed to cancel our mission call to Albany New York to be home when Travis and Sommer have their new little baby boy. So far things are going well with the pregnancy but the last ultrasound indicated that the baby has a hole in his heart that may or may not require surgery. Based upon that finding we felt most assuredly that we needed to her here this go around to help and support the kids.
I notified the Senior Missionary Department of our request with the hope that we will be ready to do this some time after the first of the year. We will need to resubmit our applications but our medical information is good for one year. Hopefully we can make that submission towards the end of 2014 and leave on our mission late spring 2015. It will really be up to Jenee and how she feels about everything.
We will make our request as to where we would like to go and what we would like to do once again. Perhaps a temple mission in London. Australia or New Zealand or a Self Initiative PEF calling to Africa Cape Town or Durban would be fine with us. We will see what the brethren and the Lord feels is best!
